Coleman was born and raised in the town of the Lancashire town of Blackpool. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and scored straight A's in her A-levels. In discussing her Emmerdale character Coleman expressed regret over having not attended a university. Coleman when she was still at High School, was a member of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was well-received, and the play received favorable reviews. Coleman won the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. The British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and at the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of Most Popular Newcomer. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated for the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters have left the series. Moffat decided to put her in the role as she had the strongest chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the entertainment industry since 1987. But, she's more popular for her television projects rather than movies. Eva is well-known for her work in the role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The latter earned Eva two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to show off her artistic side by performing music. Eva is an entrepreneur, as well as an actress. Eva has three husbands and an infant from the third.
