Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. Biles is thought of as one of the most talented gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games and also became the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles grew up in Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where she and her sister Adria was adopted by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six years old during one of the field trips for daycare at Bannon's Gymnastix and was there for eleven years under the guidance of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a gold medal in vault and floor at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships of 2010, before she made her debut in the highest level of competing. Biles was a dominant athlete within a mere two years. What distinguished Biles apart was her consistency with her bright personality, as well as the level of challenge she introduced into her routines in all four events--vault uneven bars balance beam as well as the floor workout.
