Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and she were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. As a teenager, she began her journey into the music scene winning local competitions at the age of 10 of age and recording her first album when she was 14 years old. After signing to Rounder Records, her first album was released in 1987. She was invited to join the band with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album as a group in 1989.
